RESPONSIBLE FOR: Warehouse shift operations

 

MAIN PURPOSE:    Directly managing warehouse shift operations including the co­ordination and administration of front line management issues, warehouse shift teams, company assets, process
efficiency, health and safety and GMP

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY TASKS

 

Maintaining standards of Health & Safety and security in the work environment.
Involvement with employee relations to include disciplinary, investigations, absence management, grievances and performance management.
Monitor and improve warehouse performance across the balanced scorecard, using the weekly warehouse scorecard.
Carry out daily shift handovers, ensuring a smooth changeover of shift using handover reports and shift updates on progress.
Conduct daily shift based meetings with Key stake holders i.e. purchasing and customer services.
Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, assembly and dispatch of goods.
Briefing of team members on a daily basis. Organisation of team meetings, attendance and contribution to Operational team reviews.
Recruitment, training and allocation of warehouse labour to meet the demands of the business in the most efficient way, using a balanced score card KPI.
Assisting with the planning of future capacity requirements.
Collaborative working with other internal departments, ensuring good customer service is achieved and planned targets are met.
Maintain audit compliance status of all areas in terms of hygiene housekeeping and adherence to GMP principles.
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, for the allotted shift pattern.
Have a clear understanding of the Company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse operations contribute to company and operational strategy.
Adherence to all company rules and procedures, paying particular attention to health and safety.
Manage an eight hour shift operations within 24/7 operation. Flexibility is essential.
Ability to communicate to all levels.
Knowledge of stock control.
Assisting with warehouse specific projects as determined by the warehouse manager.
Work collaboratively with the Shift Management group to ensure the above are delivered as a team.
