Eyes on the pies – celebrating BFS’ success at The Great British Pie Awards

Our Billington Foodservice took home not one, but a fantastic 12 awards from The Great British Pie Awards 2020, held in Melton Mowbray – a town famous around the world for its pork pies. 

With a history of producing pies in our Wellingborough-based factory – appropriately named The Bakery – for over 25 years, we’re delighted the tasty and quality pies from Billington Foodservice are getting the recognition they deserve. 

Running for over 11 years, The Great British Pie Awards were set up to nationally celebrate one of the icons of British Cuisine, the humble pie! Savoury, sweet, vegan or meat, any pie is welcome in the awards and is judged by industry professionals. They aim to recognise the craft of bakers, butchers and other produces, celebrating the heritage of the dish, promoting regional specialties and supporting British produce.

All our pies are created by a dedicated chef team who take pride in understanding the end consumer, the menu aspirations and current trends before they develop a recipe. Our award-winning pies from Billington Foodservice feature on numerous high-profile pub group chains in the UK.
