We’re a big business and the parent company for a group of others – so, it goes almost without saying that people are the heart of everything we do. With that comes a responsibility to act accordingly, professionally and with empathy, for the benefit for everyone – be they supplier, customer or employee.
The last few months have been challenging for many people, in many ways, and we know that one of the key topics of conversation has been on diversity, inclusion and social justice. As individuals and a company, we have a responsibility to ensure that no person is treated differently because of their skin, race, religion or gender.
We want you to know we’re educating ourselves, we’re working on inclusion and diversity at every level and we know there is much more we can do to really promote and live the inclusion we are passionate about. We are setting up a Diversity and Inclusion committee and we will be asking for representatives from across our workforce to be involved in this.
We can do better, we will do better and we will continue to stand with those fighting against racism or discrimination of any type. We condemn these negative behaviours and attitudes; we always have, but now more than ever, we’re ready to be part of the solution.
