September was an exciting month as our first 3 graduates from the Future Leaders Programme began their journey with the Billington Group.

Each graduate will work in 4 different roles, in 4 different food division businesses in our 2 year programme. This will include working with our operations, technical, supply chain and commercial teams.

From left to right we have:

  • George Light who joins us after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Food & Nutrition from Sheffield Hallam University. George’s first placement is within Technical at Billington Foodservice (The Kitchen).
  • Abbie Griffiths has returned to the UK to join the Group after spending a year in Hamburg, Germany. Abbie graduated from Sheffield Hallam university in 2017 with a BA degree in Hospitality Business Management. Abbie’s first placement is with Commercial at TSC Foods.
  • Freddie Billington moves onto our Future Leaders Programme after already having spent a year with the Group as a Graduate. So far he has spent time at TSC Foods in Commercial and more recently with Technical at EPC in Newbury. Freddie will stay at EPC Newbury for the next 8 months working in Operations.

The programme started with an induction at The Billington Barn and then onto their respective locations to get to know their teams.
